One of my favorite pieces in the collection. In Grecian mythology, Galatea was a Nereid who embodied the beauty and gentleness of the sea. It's also the name of one of my favorite Dali paintings, Galatea of the Spheres, which features a surrealist portrait of Dali's wife above a calm sea.
